What are period panties?

Period panties look and feel like your regular underwear but they are made to absorb your period. You don't have to wear a pad, a tampon or a menstrual cup. Just slip on your period panties and you are set for up to 8 hours depending on your flow. 

How long can you wear your period panties?

Our period panties can be worn for up to 8 hours straight, but you know your flow best! You should feel comfortable and dry when wearing period panties. If you start to notice dampness, then it’s time to change into a fresh pair.

How absorbent are the Maya Panties? 

The Maya Panty has high absorbency. It can absorb approximately 20-30 ml, or the equivalent of 4 tampons worth of liquid.

How do I wash my period panties?

Washing your period underwear isn’t complicated! For best results, you should rinse out your panties just after you take them off. Rinse in cold water until the water becomes clear. Then throw them into the washing machine on the delicate cycle.. Next, hang to dry. Pro tips: Don't use softener or bleach, and never machine dry or iron.

Do my period panties have any antibacterial treatment or PFA?

The simple answer is no. We don’t use any added antibacterial spray or silver treatment, nor do our period pants contain any harmful PFAs. They are safe for you, your health, sea animals and the environment.

Do I need to wear a pad or tampons with your period panties?

You can wear our period panties on their own or as backup protection along with a menstrual cup or tampon.

Are period panties odor-proof?

They will remain odor-free if they are washed and rinsed correctly. Please see how to wash or panties above or see our care instructions  on our period panty page for how to eliminate odors.

How can I remove blood stains from my panties?

Rinse your period panties in cold water. You should rinse out the panties just after you take them off. Try not to leave them to soak, but instead, just rinse until the water runs clear. After that, throw them in the washing machine and run them on a cold wash. If you didn't act fast and the stain has set, apply laundry soap and soak them into tepid water for 30 minutes. Gently scrub using an old soft toothbrush to remove the stain. Repeat this final step until the stain is gone.

How do I take my measurements?

Waist - smallest part of stomach (usually a few inches above your belly button)
Hips - around fullest part of hips

Where is my order?

Orders normally take 7-10 business days to be delivered! If you have not received your order in that time frame, please contact us with your order number at info@theherinc.com.
